Dry fire is the backbone of home training. Because the movements of shooting are motor skill, the body builds them the same way whether or not a round is in the chamber, so a draw, a sight picture, a transition and a reload can all be trained at home for the price of your time. The one thing dry fire cannot teach is managing live recoil, which is what the range is for. Safety is absolute: every live round leaves the room, the firearm is checked twice, and the muzzle stays pointed at the target.
Concept
Dry fire
Training with an unloaded firearm: you practise the draw, aiming, the trigger press and reloads without a live round, building the motor skill of shooting at home.
